In October 2020, Ludger Beerbaum’s equestrian sports centre, RIESENBECK INTERNATIONAL in Riesenbeck received the surprising news: Almost one year later, at the beginning of September 2021, the European Show Jumping Championships will take place at the Surenburg.

A lot has happened since then. The RIESENBECK INTERNATIONAL team has developed the equestrian centre into a top-class event venue in a very short time.

L&S was responsible for the provision and operation of the event technology, for temporary structures as well as the event management support.

The reception in the castle garden of the Surenburg was also a highlight in many respects.

Last Sunday, on the last day of the tournament, it was clear that André Thieme was the new Jumping European Champion 2021.

On August 21 and 22, 2021, the first open air of the meetMUSIC concert series took place in the garden of Draiflessen in Mettingen. In a stylish ambience, the great musical diversity of classical chamber music was combined with jazz and pop. The two presenters Marie König and Malte Arkona led through the program. The guitarist Viktor Stryapin, Liv Hansen on her harp, the Svevia Trombone Quartet, the Vision String Quartet, the band HeptaPolka, the duo Peter Fleckenstein and Žilvinas Brazauskas as well as the duo Anouchka & Katharina Hack, who took over the artistic direction for the open air festival meetMUSIC, presented themselves on stage.

L&S provided the sound and lighting equipment for the open air, in addition to the stage including the associated prints. The area was transformed into a stylish ambience by our light installation. 

Our sound and lighting technicians took care of the musicians on site on both concert days.

On August 1, 2021, our new trainees Julius Asemann and Lasse Dierkes started their training as event technology specialists. Welcome to our team!

The grey clouds over the L&S QuickStage100 stage are symbolic: already the second summer season no or very few orders for our large stage construction. This L&S department is still firmly caught in the COVID-19 headlock. And even worse: the second apprentice year in a row is just coming into the company, which probably won’t have a chance to build stages and get a taste of festival air this year either because of the Corona restrictions.  

So a PLAN B was needed:

Our trainees for event technology from 2020 – Lukas and Patrick and also our trainees Julius and Lasse, who are just starting this year, together with the third year of training – Mathis, Jannis and Anton are currently putting on a small but nice trainee festival at our company headquarters. The two apprentices from our colleagues at P2 Veranstaltungstechnik in Greven, Vinzent and Marcel, are lending a hand. And our trainer Andreas Werthmöller is technically behind the guys for a helping hand – of which, however, not much is needed. All this, of course, with a distance & hygiene concept.

Motto: Learning still works best by doing.

Last weekend, the seven plus two trainees showed how Festival works. Admittedly on a small scale, but with everything that goes with it: stage, PA, lighting, LED screens, backstage, etc..

With a solid hygiene & distance concept as well as the 3G’s (recovered-vaccinated-tested), they went live in front of a small audience on Friday in accordance with the rules.

‘MR. HURLEY & DIE PULVERAFFEN’ were guests with their current album SEEMANNSGRAB. As a hybrid event, the gig was streamed. However, a handful of Pirate fans had the opportunity to win a live ticket from their online ticket and take a seat in front of the stage. https://seemannsgrab.pulveraffen.de/

On Saturday the L&S GARTEN PARTY followed with ‘JONAS EGBERS’, ‘SAD CAPTAIN’, ‘ACOUSTIC STEEL’ and ‘FRANTIC AGE’ as headliners. Finest regional line-up, also arranged and booked by our apprentices. A big THANK YOU to the artists who rocked our little festival and unfortunately only for a tip. You too have been hit by the crisis and we more than appreciate your efforts!

Completely created from A-Z from the planning of our trainees and implemented by them, the festival was more than round.

Our customer Windmöller & Hölscher KG streamed the Virtual Expo 2021 with the motto “SAY HI TO THE FUTURE” at our Lerchengrund Studios. 

These were from the Extrusion, Printing and Converting divisions:

4 live shows
on 2 days
streamed in parallel from 3 studios
with a total of 48 tech sessions

Timed for global availability, targeted at the company’s customers and integrated into a user-friendly event web platform with a wide range of functions and information, the virtual show was a great success.

L&S took over the technical management of the project.

During the 3rd Ecumenical Church Congress, we supplied graphic walls, decoration and backdrop components for a television service in a multi-storey car park in front of the impressive Frankfurt skyline. The ecumenical church congress took place digitally and decentrally in Frankfurt from 13 – 16 May 2021.

We supplied the Omnivision wall construction system for banners without joints as neutral backgrounds from our rental park. This was supplemented with printed motifs and as free-standing columns with digital printing. The cross was manufactured in our workshops. We also supplied platforms and furniture.

Logistically, the assembly and dismantling was a minor challenge, as the top parking deck was only accessible with small vans.

L&S is expanding in the area of video technology!

We are investing in two remote-controllable 4K cameras of the Panasonic AW-UE150 brand. The so-called PTZ cameras can be controlled and moved via a control panel. The professional cameras deliver a high-quality 4k image.

The cameras are currently in use in our Lerchengrund studios.

NEW in the rental pool: Black Magic Design ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K

We are expanding our capacities in streaming and online events and investing in a new video mixer.

The video mixer “Black Magic Design ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K” will primarily be used in our Lerchengrund Studio.

With the investment in the new video mixing console, we are further increasing our streaming and live video capabilities. Also for “real” events after the pandemic.

We are pleased! Yesterday evening, the Marketing Club Münster-Osnabrück presented the L&S team with the ‘Concepts for Change Award 2021’.

As an alternative to the club’s previous annual marketing award, this year’s alternative award was offered to companies and organisations that have had to significantly adapt their business model and marketing concept during the Corona crisis, which has now lasted 12 months, and have done so successfully.

The jury was convinced that L&S had developed and successfully followed creative and innovative ways in a short period of time to create new communication and marketing opportunities for the company’s event and trade fair clients despite the Corona restrictions. These are the L&S Lerchengrund Studios in Riesenbeck for professional online communication. Exemplary also a roadshow through Germany in June 2020 as a ‘tractor cinema’. Or also numerous streaming studios that L&S has set up in customers’ halls.

The DBU celebrated its anniversary on 1 March 2021 with a digital ceremony via live stream from the Lerchengrund Studio of L&S. Guests included Frans Timmermans, Vice-President of the EU Commission and EU Commissioner for Climate Action, German Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel and German Environment Minister Svenja Schulze.

Since it began its funding activities 30 years ago, the DBU has supported more than 10,200 projects to protect the environment with around 1.9 billion euros. They focus on innovative projects and transferability to other organisations. #DBU30 – Sustainable into the future!

L&S has accompanied the DBU at numerous events since 2009.

We are pleased to have another client in the Lerchengrund Studio. LBS West, based in Münster, uses our studio for various info formats.

Volksbank Münsterland Nord has already used our Lerchengrund Studio several times for various streamings on different topics.

We have even organised catering in line with Corona standards and made it available to the guests in the studio.

L&S now has two Panasonic AG-UX180 4K camcorders in its rental pool.

Also new in the rental pool are two Video Assist 7″ 12G HDR from Blackmagic Video Design. The small monitors are used for control and recording.

Our Lerchengrund Studio is not only suitable for streaming and live productions, but also as an environment for the production of product videos.

The truss specialist H.O.F. uses the Lerchengrund Studio for three days with different looks and backgrounds for the various product groups.

We made it possible for the German Environmental Award to be awarded safely and digital transmission for all online participants.

For the fourth time we accompanied the German Environmental Award as general contractor on the big stage. This time at the Congress Centrum in Hanover under very special conditions and with prize money totalling 510,000 euros.

We illuminated the event stage, on which the daytime speaker Judith Rakers led through the morning, in the blue-green brand colours of the German Environmental Award. Our Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who usually gives a speech on the environment award, was still in quarantine at the time of the award ceremony, which is why we recorded his inspiring speech on sustainability in times of Corona.

Together with our customer, we implemented a comprehensive hygiene concept, which included the necessary distance seating and Corona-compliant catering. Since fewer viewers than in previous years were able to participate, we also organised the image mixing and editing for the live stream. The DBU Centre for Environmental Communication now shines with the latest Lecture technique.

The Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt is one of our long-standing clients and has always been known for its “Green Meetings” – i.e. its sustainable events. But until now, the foundation has organised lectures and meetings using media technology dating from 2002 – which means that it is no longer state-of-the-art in terms of digital and ecological technology. Recently, the foundation issued a call for tenders for the technical upgrade
of its lecture centre in Osnabrück to consider a new green concept.

When we started the renovation, the foundation was still using large-screen projections in the lecture rooms with old beamers, which consume relatively large amounts of electricity. We replaced these annoying power guzzlers with a high-resolution LED screen with much lower power consumption and then turned our attention to the sound system. Here we installed the digitally controllable Beamsteering Loudspeaker from Pan Beam. They keep the acoustics almost constant even in reverberant rooms and have a very low power consumption. For the radio micro technology we chose the Digital 6000 series from Sennheiser and their proven hearing aid Tourguide.

We planned and implemented the conversion for the lecture centre together with the O&P engineering office from Ibbenbüren and are pleased that the Green Meetings are now even greener!

For their Corona-compliant event, the Wirtschaftsvereinigung Steinfurt e.V. turned to L&S. We organised a company breakfast on our premises and the general meeting in accordance with the applicable hygiene regulations. The 50 guests were able to remove their mouth-nose covers for the event and enjoy the event undisturbed.

How did that work? In order to guarantee the safety distance of 1.5 metres, we built large-format bar tables and arranged them generously on the area. We also adapted the catering: packed sandwiches and muesli with curd cheese in jars were available on the tables. During the tour of the factory afterwards, the distance in the corridors and rooms was not always feasible, so the guests naturally wore masks here.

The event shows: a get-together is possible even in these turbulent times!

Finally another event! This project was planned, set up and carried out by the trainees of L&S: a very nice training project.

Our exhibition stand chameleon fits into any exhibition hall.

Our first exhibition stand after the shutdown of major events in the middle of March we organised for the German Sailing Association. Already last summer, after our successful pitch, the association decided to engage L&S as general contractor for their exhibition stand construction.

Whoever tours many trade fairs like the German Sailors’ Association knows that they like to adapt their stand to the themes of the individual trade fairs in order to reach as many potential customers as possible. With our flexible stand concept we have developed a real chameleon for stand construction. We can adapt the size of the stand to the available space and the digital prints in our LIGHTwall light boxes can be exchanged with any desired motif.

Special circumstances require special measures.

In order to cope with the current exceptional situation, we have trained ourselves internally. Our employees Christa Offenberg and Frederik Völkert took part in further training provided by TÜV Saarland and are now officially certified as hygiene and infection protection officers for events and meeting places. The two will gladly support you in the development of protective measures, the creation of hygiene concepts and their implementation in practice.

The Adler company presented its products in a personal video conference.

For the manufacturer of working machines we carried out the technical implementation of their product presentation and training via video conference. The special thing about this was that the online participants should be able to ask the presenter live questions and not have to communicate impersonally via a confusing chat flow. For this purpose we regulated the transmission via livestream over the digital conference programme Zoom. Filmed by a camerawoman and a static camera controlled by remote control. The video and sound direction controlled the ideal interaction. The speakers stood at a partly built up booth, which gave the lectures the professional frame. A large monitor showed the speakers the participants, so that they could directly address their many interlocutors.

Recorded presentations and videos rounded off the online training. A successful online event!

Our new airscreen with a 16m x 8m inflatable screen creates an impressive cinema atmosphere! The total height is 12m, the lower edge of the screen with 3m guarantees a good view for all spectators . Built up with two powerful video projectors with 40.000 lumen, a radio station to request the transmission frequency and microphones – ready is the open-air cinema. The airscreen is suitable for up to 2500 spectators (without corona) or for 250 cars.

Use this open-air event format as an excellent alternative to previous indoor events. Hold your product presentation to introduce your innovations in the fresh air. Of course, we also supply beamers, sound systems and radio stations.

New in the rental pool we have disinfectant stands and spit protection!

The disinfectant stand with one stand StaySafe dispenses contactless and can be filled with one liter of disinfectant. It can be used either with 230V or battery operation.

The spitting protection has a size of 60cm x 90 cm and a pass-through of 28cm x 20cm. Furthermore, 2 support feet are included in delivery.

NEW in the rental pool! We are expanding our video streaming capacity with new mixing consoles from Blackmagicdesign. The ATEM Mini pro is ideal for online presentations and webinars. It manages 4 sources for cameras, notebooks or other sources.

The Kreissparkasse Steinfurt commissioned us to develop and integrate a comprehensive sound reinforcement concept for all of their headquarters and branches. We equipped the lounge and self-service areas of all locations with audio and video systems and set up a software solution for central control using network-compatible media players. Via this, changing playlists can be easily uploaded.

With our wall construction systems and supporting structures made of trusses, we create new exhibition and usage areas in your hall according to the ” room-in-room ” principle. No matter whether you want to temporarily protect a special machine or new development from the eyes of your suppliers and guests or permanently set up a new training room: we will be happy to support you!

In our in-house wood and metal workshop we realize projects of various kinds for you.

Whatever you have in mind next: we will manufacture the required individual equipment for you. Our workshop enables us to process all kinds of wood and metal into exhibition furniture, displays, flight cases, presentations, transport racks and much more.

For our client SV Teuto Riesenbeck, we installed a loudspeaker system, an LCD display and a mirror ball in the new gymnastics hall to create the right atmosphere during Training.

EuroShop, the world’s leading trade fair for the investment needs of the retail industry, took place in Düsseldorf from 20-25 February 2020 and came to a successful end: The approximately 2,300 exhibitors from 57 nations reported very good contacts and business deals made by the 94,000 visitors, who informed themselves about the spectrum of products, trends and concepts on display for the retail trade and its partners.

For our customer and supplier LEDcon, we installed a stylish 28 m² booth there. The special challenge on this stand was the installation of the presentation shelves in the LED wall, as well as a substructure for the curved LED screens in front of the mannequins, which matched the ambience.

At the K-2019 in Düsseldorf we equipped the W&H stand with professional video, lighting and sound technology – a real eye-catcher!

For the third time in a row, L&S supplies the event technology for the German environmental award ceremony!

L&S has added a new stage to its QuickStage series. The QuickStage 100 was designed, planned and built by us.

With a platform surface of 12 m x 8 m (w x d), this stage offers outstanding rain protection for its size, thanks to a generous canopy with an overhang of 2.70 m and tarps on all three sides. Stages in this size and price category often only use gauze covering and rarely have a canopy with overhang.

The platform height varies between 1.30 m and 1.80 m and is based on a Layher substructure. Roof loads of up to 8 tons are also remarkable.

And the QuickStage 100 is an impressive sight: An 11 m roof and a 20 m stage front (with PA wings) provide proper performance space for artists and musicians. A variety of attachments can be added to the QuickStage 100, such as a side or rear platform, a front platform or loading ramps and docks.

For the second time in a row, L&S won the invitation to tender from the Deutschen Bundesstiftung Umwelt [German Federal Foundation for the Environment] and was able to carry out the “Week of the Environment” as a technical service provider in Berlin. On 7th and 8th June 2016, the Federal President Joachim Gauck invited almost 200 exhibitors to his garden to present their ideas concerning climate protection, energy, resources, soil and biodiversity, mobility and transport as well as building and living. Parallel to the exhibition, 6 main and 80 experts were held in moderated discussions.

From May 13 to 16, 2016, the FedCon took place at the Maritim Hotel Bonn, where the favorite stars from various science fiction series and films could be met. FedCon meant four days full of stars, autograms, photo sessions, lectures, workshops, like-minded persons, fans in costumes, promotions, parties, merchandise.

L&S developed for their long – lasting customer E.M.P. Merchandising HGmbH a new stand concept. In this way they achieved an optimal presentation of fan articles. In addition to the full-service trade fair, they also took over the transport of the fan articles.

Even though, the perfect festival weather is still missing, the first preparations for the summer are already going on. New in the rental pool of L & S is the new two- storey FOH tower with a base area of 6 x 4 m or 4 x 4 m

L&S completes the range of furniture with the exclusive barstool Lem. This was designed by the Japanese designers Shin and Tomoko Azumi for the Italian manufacturer lapalma. The barstool convinces with flowing lines and conveys a unique lightness. The design of Lem combines elegance and simplicity with user-friendliness, comfort and high stability. For the production of Lem, only high-quality materials are carefully processed to guarantee a special longevity.

From 11^th to 17^th April 2016 the world trade fair bauma took place in Munich. Bauma is the trade fair for construction, building material and mining machinery, construction vehicles and construction equipment. Again, in 2016 the event achieved record numbers. With an exhibition space of 605,000 m², 3,423 exhibitors from 58 countries and over 580,000 visitors from 200 nations, it once again demonstrated its leading role as the world’s largest trade fair. As a leading branch company, it sets the trends of the future.

L&S built the exhibition stands for its long-standing customers at the bauma – for VHV Anlagenbau GmbH, Adler Arbeitsmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG, Tuchel Maschinenbau GmbH, B + S Engineering GmbH and Rekers GmbH Maschinen- und Anlagenbau. Three large LED walls provided an appealing presentation of the products. Modern light boxes with banners in the corporate design of the individual companies gave the stands an individual touch.

Just like every year, the trade fair prolight + sound, the one of our branch, took place in Frankfurt from 5^th to 8^th April 2016. It represents the international trade fair for technologies, services, for entertainment systems, integrated systems and creation. L & S has been an established partner for this fair for many years and is building the annual stands for its long-standing customers.

Every two years, the most important European agricultural fair TECHAGRO takes place in the Czech Republic. This year it took place from April 3 to 7 in its fourteenth edition. TECHAGRO is the largest agricultural fair in Central Europe and has about 120.000 visitors. There the latest trends and agricultural technologies, machinery, accessories and living exhibits were presented on more than 70,000 m².

The TECHAGRO in Brno [Brünn] was the first follow-up order for L & S after the agritechnica 2015 in Hanover. This happened thanks to the cooperation with the Maschinenfabrik Bernard Krone GmbH & Co. KG. This cooperation was a premiere for the company, da s.o. dieses sie durch Firma ersetzt as it was the first exhibition in the Czech Republic. On the trade fair stand which was 900 m² large, new products were presented on a high-resolution LED wall.

On April 9, 2016, the iFAN Festival took place in the Kreienbaum-Halle in Warendorf near Münster. This festival premiere is an indoor music festival. The moderation of the evening was taken over by the fashion designer and blogger Victoria van Violence. At 5:00 pm, the party started and among the headliner Prince Pi, there were Kapelle Petra, Radio Havanna, Arising, Itchy Poopzkid, and Abandon Hope around.

L&S supported the organizers with their expertise and offered a full service of stage construction, sound and lighting technology. The preparations lasted a year. The technicians put the different bands into scene as well as they provided the right sound.

On March 19, 2016 the Riesenbecker Sportgala with 800 guests took place in the Grünen Halle. Over the years, the best athletes were not any more only honored with a small accompanying program but with a variety evening with high-profile artists. Every two years, the team of the tennis department of the SV Teuto Riesenbeck is organizing this evening and the people from this department have been working with us for a long time. This year, the Helene Fischer double “Viktoria” performed a show and this was the highlight. She really got things going at the following party. It was the first time that the party was accompanied by a live band. “Starlight Excess” provided a great one.

We sponsor this outstanding achievement of our home sports club and honor the remarkable achievement of the voluntary commitment.

L & S was responsible, for the fifth time, for the technical management of the sales annual convention of apetito AG, which takes place every two years. This year, the lectures took place at the Cinetech Erlebiskino in Rheine, the evening event again in the Stadthalle in Rheine, Germany.

To create a pleasant ambiance in the Stadthalle for the evening event, they set up two large funnels of hms easy stretch, which could also be used as high tables. For the first time, a lounge area was created behind the stage. The guests were using this for conversation in a quiet atmosphere.

In order to put the band in the limelight, the technicians provided the appropriate stage effects with an elaborate video technology. The sound technology supported the good sound of the live band.

The CASA * is the international trade fair for creative living, furnishing and lifestyle in Austria. L & S conceptualized and realized the first time for the customer INKU Jordan GmbH & Co. KG on the CASA * an exhibition stand. A generous traverse system was built above this. A complex lighting was installed for a professional product presentation. They used the Aluvision exhibition system, which was covered with textile. This gave the whole thing an ingenious look.

L&S has been supporting the event “Ibb on Ice” for more than 10 years and is successfully cooperating with the Ibbenbürener Stadtmarketing. The new challenge this year was to change the location from the Neumarkt to the southern inner city, to the Rathausplatz. The traverse construction had to be adapted to the local conditions and the lighting had to be re-conceptualized. We ensured the highest possible noise protection for the residents of the houses around the Rathausplatz.

Another new thing was the LED perimeter advertising, as you can find it in soccer stadiums. This enabled the sponsors to be presented in an up to date manner.

On January 20 and 21, 2016, the BEST OF EVENTS INTERNATIONAL took place in Dortmund, focusing on the topics of economic communication, live marketing, event services and congress. The trade fair is the leading meeting place for the event industry. More than 400 exhibitors from the event industry presented themselves at the Westfalenhallen Dortmund.

Already for the fourth time, L&S took place as an exhibitor and used this branch meeting to establish new contacts and to maintain existing contacts.

The Maschinenfabrik Bernard Krone GmbH looks back on more than one hundred years of history as a family-run company based in Spelle, Emsland. The company manufactures agricultural machines in the highest quality and with innovative know-how.

Krone is one of the leading manufacturers in Germany and currently it is the market leader concerning disc mowers and round balers. From November 8 to 14, the Bernhard Krone GmbH presented their innovations at the world’s largest agricultural engineering fair, the agritechnica, in Hanover.

The “ceramitec” in Munich is the worlds` leading exhibition of the ceramic industry with a comprehensive range of products and international as well as professional audience. It took place from 20 to 23 October. L&S supported the stand of its long-standing customer VHV Anlagenbau.

There are also leading manufacturers, users and scientists at the fair. The visitors can not only inform themselves but also enjoy the great program among the exhibition.

L&S does now own a 250 sqm double decker for the use at trade fairs and events. The L & S team has decided to take the CUBIC system of the Swiss quality manufacturer SYMA. Since 1971, the company has been supplying high-quality system components for exhibition construction.

The CUBIC system for multi-storey constructions consists of carrier and support elements and can be used for multi-storey constructions in the column grid of four by four meters. The maximum floor loading of the double decker is 500 kg per sqm.

Yamaha QL5 arrived

We, L&S are adding another Yamaha mixing console to our portfolio of digital sound mixing consoles. The new mixing console is ideal for small and medium sized events as well as for conferences.

L&S extends its range of good looking Cubic rental furniture. Cubic bar stools in combination with our bridge type tables have been very popular for use on stands. Now we complete our furniture program with a stool. Available is a complete package with standing and seating tables in the bridge type design with high and low cubic stools.

In November 2014, the main focus of L&S was the Eurotier – the leading international trade fair for livestock professionals.

In Hanover, our teams cared for a total of 14 exhibitors.

For the first time at the Eurotier, L & S used the new profile tension system Omnivision from the Belgian manufacturer Aluvision. With this, wall surfaces are seamlessly covered with text prints. The graphic area of the back wall of the illustrated measuring unit measures 20 x 4 meters. The system offers a solid and fast-mountable base for constructions of the profile tension system, which has become a trend in exhibition construction- not only since today.

With this versatile frame profile, you can use both sheet material and fabric coverings – on both sides. Omni-Vision frames have the same width as the existing basic and public-vision frames, this allows these profiles to be combined with other systems in a variety of ways. In addition, the technically improved and much lighter quick release ensures a quick and uncomplicated set-up and dismantling.

It is therefore also possible to put large text prints with a wall height of 7.50 m and a width of 5 m over several frames. This creates an uninterrupted large wall surface without the frame profiles being visible.
Another advantage: the frames can be bent up to a radius of half a meter. The rounded corners can now also be covered with fabrics.

L&S creates new full-HD projectors with professional interchangeable systems. A video projector from EIKI LC-HDT700 in Full HD with 7,000 ANSI lumens and a Panasonic PT-DZ110 video projector with 10,600 ANSI lumens.

Combined with the new screens from AV Stumpfl (1,70 mx 2,86 m to 4,50 mx 6 m), those offer guests the best image quality even from a small distance.

L&S is expanding its range of trading furniture. The new trade bar WAVE in white can be labeled and offers a lot of space for your logo. The bar board is also white. If desired, it can be foiled in color and corresponds to your corporate design.

L&S invests in lighting architecture. A funnel with a diameter of 4 m and a height of up to 6 m is a true eyecatcher at your trade stand or at your event.

For the second time this year, L&S GmbH & Co. KG is taking over the equipment and organization of company jubilees as a general service provider. Both, the VHV Anlagenbau GmbH and the bema GmbH trust L&S.

On 9 January 1995, Bernhard Veltmann, Georg Hagemann and Bernhard Verlage founded VHV Anlagenbau GmbH. 20 years later, the three managing directors can look back on a successful development. As a specialist in conveyor technology, the company has made a name for itself on the national and international markets of the bulk and general cargo industry. The company is particularly distinguished by the steep conveyor technology. With innovative ideas and tailor-made solutions, the company fulfills together with its 100 employees the requirements of customers in various sectors.

The bema GmbH Maschinenfabrik was founded as a horse shoeing workshop in 1940 by the blacksmith Heinrich Berens. Later, further fields of activity were added which were very well received in the agricultural region. In the 1970s, Günther Berens, the son of the founder, continued to expand the business. Meanwhile, agricultural machinery was traded, there was a repair shop, a turning shop and a welding shop. Since 1989, bema has been constructing and building cultivation sweeping machines; in 2003 snow blades were added. In 2012, Sonja Koopmann, née Berens, took over the operations of the family business. She continues the tradition of responding to individual customer requirements and delivering the highest quality.

Reason enough, for VHV to celebrate its 20th anniversary in January and for bema to celebrate its 75th anniversary in May with customers, employees and business partners.

The management commissioned L&S GmbH & Co. KG with planning, organizing and equipping the event. L&S GmbH & Co. KG supplied not only the typical services like sound, lighting and video technology, traverses and pedestals as well as decoration elements from the trade fair construction, but also all the other temporary fixtures to transform the assembly hall into an event venue.

This included an exclusive display unit, tables, chairs, bar stools and a high-quality toilet container, a cloakroom and other decorative elements. Thus, various areas were built in the assembly halls, e.g. a reception area, a higher terrace with seating furniture, buffet areas and as a central element the dance floor with stage and bar. L&S installed the individual zones temporarily by means of curtains, mobile walls and room dividers and furnished them with stylish lighting.

In the area of the dance floor and stage, impressive lighting effects transformed the halls into a disco. In addition to providing the “hardware”, L&S was also active in organizing the event. All the service providers involved were coordinated by L&S and matched with one another, from the menu card to the hotel contingents to the parking instructions.

The concrete plans of the two jubilees began half a year before. Only a small time frame was available for the actual setups of the event since the final assembly of the conveyor systems and sweepers takes place in the halls. This tight timetable required detailed and precise planning by L&S.
The guests arrived and were greeted with live music and cool drinks.

Factory tours were carried out. Following, the guests were welcomed by the management. After dinner the atmosphere changed in the halls and a “party feeling” arose. This was realized by an extensive lighting installation by L&S. As a special highlight at the opening of the dance floor, a mirror ball with a diameter of 2.00 m (!) sank from the ceiling above the dance floor or a laser show started.

For the event, L&S provided not only the technical team for the control of sound and lighting technology, but also the event management as a contact person for the management and the other service providers. The event manager looked after the direction and coordination of the event and was available to answer all questions. Thus, the management was able to commit itself completely to its customers and employees and to participate in the celebration!

It was only in the early hours of the morning that the event management handed over the keys to the dismantling team and coordinated the last trips of the shuttle service. One day later, L&S handed over the assembly halls to VHV and bema so that business could be continued as usual.

From April 15^th to 18^th, 2015 the trade fair PROLIGHT + SOUND took place for the 20^th time. The most important international trade fair for events, installation and production celebrated its anniversary with a wide range of new technologies.

The exhibition offered the guests an extensive supporting program and prestigious awards. The music trade fair took place at the same time. This is the largest international trade fair for musical instruments, musical notes, music production and marketing.

For this trade fair, L&S has built a total of 16 exhibition stands. In addition to the long-standing and highly valued customers, L&S was able to win some new customers, too. The customers appreciate especially the permanent on-site service, even during the fair.

A special highlight were the new LED panel sB3 with a pixel spacing of 3.75 mm and the turnable and mobile LED walls- both built up by L&S.

New in the rental pool: the LED video wall system from V: LED

L&S is expanding its range of point-of-sale LED wall solutions. That way, the specialist for trade fairs and events is now the owner of a new high-performance tool: the LED video wall system from V: LED.

The LED panel sB3 with a pixel spacing of 3.75 millimeters allows a very small viewing distance of just three meters and is thus ideally suited even for smaller screen walls from 6.5 square meters. With a standard format of 16: 9, the video wall measures a total of 3.36 x 1.92 meters. Other, even smaller formats are also possible, but should be adjusted according to the desired pictures and videos.

The V: LED sB3 LED wall is characterized by high-quality Black Face SMD LEDs. Als Eigennamen angesehen They provide a high degree of contrast and a deep black as well as a natural image representation with a high color and a high attention to the details. In addition, the wall is suitable for camera work.

The individual elements have a size of 480 x 480 millimeters and they weight 8.3 kilograms. L&S offers a variety of solutions to ensure that the system can be safely suspended or set up. In addition, a 45-degree version is also available. From February 22 to 26, 2015, SIMA, the international trade fair for suppliers of the agricultural sector as well as the animal breeder sector, took place in Paris.

For the first time, L&S built the exhibition stands for the long-standing customers Tuchel and BVL. Thus, L & S will is present at a further machine fair apart from the EuroTier, agritechnica, GaLaBau and bauma.

It began in 2006 with a public viewing on a twelve square meter projection screen for around 1,000 visitors. Five European and international football festivals later, in 2014, more than 2,000 enthusiastic fans watched the German team kicking off the football season.

All of this was followed by an extremely bright and modern SMD LED screen provided by L & S. Our rigging department built two scaffolding towers measuring more than ten meters in height and only two by two meters in the ground plan as a storm-proofed supporting structure.

The highlight: After the game, the screen moves down at the push of a button. The screen is then protected with protective panels and pulled upwards. In the parking position at eight meters, the screen is securely kept and, above all, under it remains much more than the necessary clearance for trucks and fire brigades.

The second special feature is sound reinforcement. Showing 64 soccer games of the World Cup, in the center of the city of Ibbenbüren, makes it necessary to consider the needs of the residents. The acoustic irradiation is decentralized with the help of small loudspeakers, which are installed directly above the audience. The sound reflections are thus reduced to a minimum and the necessary volume for the football festival is reached only where it is necessary – there, where the fans are. The measurements of the supervisory authorities also revealed: No complaints.

June 2013 – L & S invests in transparent foils for ArcoStage.

Our sound department is delighted with the addition of the LineArray loudspeaker system KIVA, which will close a gap in the material stock. We will use this at conferences or small concerts with the highest demands concerning the sound quality. After a successful market investigation, our sound technicians have decided to take the system from the French manufacturer L’Acoustics, and therefore one of the market leaders.

Earlier this year, the AMAZONEN plants invited to a press conference. Place of the event was a hall as bright as day. For the projection of films and presentations the use of beamers with screen in this environment is not possible.

Instead, L&S provided an LED wall that takes these conditions into consideration: the high-resolution LED panel system sB3 with a pixel distance of only 3.75 mm. It is equipped with high-quality Blackface SMD LEDs and is characterized by a very high contrast and a deep black. The picture is very natural and has a high color fidelity and level of detail. LED walls are growing in popularity among our customers. As a result, L&S invested in further 15 m² of these “point-to-point” solutions.

An impressive two-meter screen diagonal for an even more impressive presentation at trade fairs and events – our video department is happy about new LCD monitors in the 80-inch class. The devices are very flat due to only measuring 99 mm, 3D-capable and have an integrated USB media player. Matching design tripods with concealed cable routing from our I-Line series fulfill this display perfectly.

Event technology for the breeders ball 2014 in Osnabrück

Noble suits and elegant evening dresses in the Halle Gartlage in Osnabrück? Those who know the Halle Gartlage, will smile now as the hall is known as an auction and exhibition hall for animals or because of its flea markets.

It was quite different at the breeders ball 2014: A good-looking, elegant outfit was compulsory for the around 4,800 guests. Therefore the Halle Gartlage also had to get dressed up. Three live bands provided a great atmosphere until the early hours of the morning.

L&S was responsible to get the Halle Gartlage dressed up and therefore, L&S provided extensive installations in the three event areas as well as in the outdoor area, designed entrance areas, a cladding of the hall walls and decorative sails – and that was just the beginning.

The main attraction was a stylish lighting, which provided a special ambience. We, L&S used more than 250 LED spotlights and 36 moving lights.

Real eye catchers were the high tables in industrial design. Those were organized by the catering partner of the Hall Gartlage. L&S delivered 64 LED spotlights which matched the design and which could be used completely without cabling. Powerful, rechargeable batteries and a radio control made it possible.

The result: the floor was free of disturbing cabling and offered enough space for small talk and invited the guests to dance.

Krone invites specialist audience to the exhibition hall 5

In November 2014, the Maschinenfabrik Bernard Krone invited more than 1,000 contractors to an evening event into the exhibition hall 5 of the Deutsche Messe AG in Hanover. The presentation of the latest Krone farm machine innovations was the highlight of the evening- among a high-profile show program.

As general contractor, L&S was commissioned to decorate and furnish the exhibition hall for this purpose. In addition to sound, light and large-screen installations, we (L&S) provided the suitable framework for the event, with partly movable stages, thousands of square meters of curtains and carpets and all safety-related equipment.

L&S took over all the drafts and plans as well as the conversion of the hall, of course related to building law. Our qualified master craftsmen of event engineering were not only the coordinators with fire brigades and rescue teams, they were also responsible for the safety concept and during the event they acted as responsible security specialists. It was definitely a challenging task as numerous gigantic machines moved around the hall during the show program.

Conclusion of our customer: A completely successful event.

L&S designs the exhibition stand for OASE Living Water at GaLaBau 2014

At the end of September, the European trade fair for horticulture, landscaping, maintenance and building of sports fields, golf courses and playgrounds came to an end. For the first time 1,321 exhibitors presented their companies and goods in 13 halls. Among the exhibitors was also our loyal customer OASE Living Water.

The fountain manufacturer from Hörstel has been using our extended range for trade fair customers. L&S does not only supply the design and the actual stand construction, but also ensures a smooth process for the logistics of the exhibits and their assembling and dismantling.

Around 66,500 trade visitors traveled there, just to find out about products and trends for planning, building and caring for green areas.

The “musik: landschaft westfalen” offers visitors an experience of classical music and the arts, encounters and culinary specialties on six festival weekends. The Parklandschaft Westfalens serves as the place of the concerts. This area is remarkable due to its landmarks, its architecture and its attractions.

In August 2014, the great Kammerphilharmonie [chamber philharmonic] St. Petersburg, together with the MLW Festival Choir, hosted the Wasserschloss in Raesfeld. L & S supplied a 140 m² stage, lighting technology and the necessary transmission and sound technology for classical orchestras.

The special sound equipment in particular was very popular with our customers and the guests, and there were quiet a few. Our team focuses, concerning sound equipment and technology on a Line- Array-System KIVA of the French manufacturer L ‘Acoustics, microphones from Neumann and Sennheiser and mixing console technology from Yamaha.

“Krach am Bach” was launched for the first time in 1994 and can now look back on a successful vita. Now means after 21 years. 22 bands from the area of alternative, indie rock and hardcore played at the festival site in Beelen, near Warendorf. The proceeds of the open air festival are donated to non-profit organizations and projects and now count more than 200,000 euros.

Already for the fifth time, the organization team from Krach am Bach trusted L&S as a professional service provider for stage, lighting and sound engineering. L&S delivered both stages and the entire event technology. The two-day event was supervised by our technicians.

In July 2014, the 33rd Abifestival took place in the old nuclear power plant in Lingen / Ems. L&S celebrated another episode of the Umsonst & Draußen Open Air with about 14,000 festival enthusiastic visitors. At tropical temperatures of more than 30 degrees, the volunteer fire brigade provided here and then the necessary cooling. More than 20 rock bands played within two days.

L&S supplied an 80 m² stage with extensive additions. A total of 130 m² of play and work space were available. The complete sound and lighting technology was also provided by our company.

L&S is modernizing and expanding its portfolio of Litecraft LED spotlights. The OutLED AT10 is a weatherproof color-changing LED spotlight. The light is characterized by a very good light output and will replace a part of our conventional, weatherproof lighting.

L&S provided a great stage for the event for the three-day event with the Arco Stage 140. The Arco Stage 140 was supplemented by additional stages at the sides, usable as a place for the technology and as a preparation area.

Open Air “Up de Steenkuhle” in Gronau

At the end of June 2014 and as part of their “The Living Years 25th Anniversary Tour”, Mike & The Mechanics played at the Open Air “Up de Steenkuhle” in Gronau. The evening started with the singer-songwriter Salip Tarakci and his band.

Mike & The Mechanics, originally founded as a musical sub-project by Genesis founder Mike Rutherford, is one of the most successful rock and pop formations worldwide with more than 10 million sold records. Mike Rutherford and his band inspired millions of fans all over the world with hits like “Another Cup of Coffee”, “All I Need Is a Miracle” and “Over my Shoulder”.

In Gronau, L&S was responsible for the building and sound engineering. Among the stages was the Quickstage 80 including a side stage.

So sorgte L&S für 110 Quadratmeter Bühnenfläche für Künstler, Techniker und Logistik. Die Beschallung des Konzertgeländes erfolgte durch ein EAW Line-Array-System, welches für ein perfektes Hörerlebnis steht. 

Da das Konzertgelände gleichzeitig für das Public Viewing während der WM genutzt wurde, war das Zeitfenster für den Auf- und Abbau sehr klein und erforderte eine detaillierte Planung. 

Fazit des Abends: begeisterte Konzertbesucher und zwei sehr zufriedene Bands nicht zuletzt dank einer professionellen technischen Betreuung durch unser Team. 

The L&S self-development, event sails has been used for many events as an extremely elegant canopy for small stages or as a sun and weather protection for garden and park events during the last two years.

The sail with the size of 75 square meters has a XXX with two diagonal highs and low points. Possible rain water is kept clean on the panel/sail. Like all L&S stages and roof structures, the event panel/sail is designed according to the state of the art and follows the highest safety requirements.

The panel/ sail has now been integrated into the courtyard of the Schloss Surenburg Castle for the first time. Our client wanted a light, filigree roofing that did not change the character of the courtyard or only slightly. A special environment also requires special solutions.

ArcoStage 200 and the Seebühne Bregenz

In June, a stage construction project of the extra class led us from L & S to Bregenz, to Lake Constance. The tour production “Schlagernacht des Jahres” with stars like Helene Fischer, Jürgen Drews and Andy Borg took place at the stage Seebühne Bregenz. Further event nights provided concerts of Xavier Naidoo and CRO.

An ArcoStage 200 from L & S provided the setting for the three events. The challenge related to the installation of this 200-square-meter stage as well as other side stages/buildings on the water. For this purpose, a construction made of heavy steel slabs was anchored at the bottom of Lake Constance, providing a solid foundation for the ArcoStage. The Layher scaffolding substructure of the stage was modified and reinforced by special components in such a way that it could then be placed on the basic construction.

Bottom line: stage construction as special solution “made by L&S”.

The acoustic irradiation is decentralized with the help of small loudspeakers, which are installed directly above the audience. The sound reflections are thus reduced to a minimum and the necessary volume for the football festival is reached only where it is necessary – there, where the fans are. The measurements of the supervisory authorities also revealed: No complaints.

At the Best of Events it was presented as a new L & S product: the M290-B. A traverse with black powder coating. Wherever a load-bearing structure is indispensable, the optics of the classic silver traverse endangers or impairs a design, the black carrier is a precise solution.

Our rigging department is delighted to have 24 pieces of CM-Lodestar motorized chain hoists with scene control. The chain hoists are certified for a lifting load of 500 kilograms according to the high safety standard BGV-C1. With the corresponding L&S control technology, loads can be moved even over the public. “Scenic journeys” of stage and scenery elements, as they call theatrical technicians, thus become an impressive element in show planning.

With x.Truss components, large-area walls can be created for exhibition stands and events. They consist of a basic construction made of cheap and stable traverse systems, which are covered with textile digital prints over the entire area on one or both sides and above all without joints. Wall surfaces are created, which are statically easy to calculate and thus effortlessly fulfill all requirements of the trade fair organizer.

Apetito AG asked us to organize their sales anniversary. They wanted us to provide this event with the technical- creative equipment. It is divided into a lecture and workshop part as well as an evening event. The stage design as well as the complete technical equipment for the conference section and the event- design- that was our responsibility. The evening event took place in the Stadthalle Rheine.

L&S presents its next, own development with the I-Line media stands series. A sophisticated but restraint tripod solution for lighting, sound reinforcement and media technology: that is I-Line. What is the I-Line about? – Concealed cable routing, stable but discreet components, tested statics. I-Line is absolutely universal in the adaptation to most diverse applications as lightning stela, loudspeaker stand, LCD screen stand or projector podium. For exhibition stands and events. I-Line.

The head of our video department, Manuel Johannknecht, feels enthusiastic about the technical success: A brand new BARCO presentation switch (PDS-902 3G) and a high-quality Panasonic FullHD handheld camera (AG-HPX250EJ) with all accessories do, from now on, extend the possibility for live transmission at L&S.

The Barco PDS 902 3G switches comfortably, easily and quickly between several VGA, DVI and SDI signals. Thanks to its uncomplicated design and easy operation, the PDS is ideally suited for live events, trade fairs and conferences.

For the third time in a row, a company for the distribution of computer, mobile phone and console accessories committed the service provider L&S with the technical and decorative equipment of a Christmas celebration in December 2013.

In the more than 20,000-square-meter hall of the company, the L&S team separated several event areas with the help of flexible room systems, traverses and curtains. This resulted in an event location of almost 1,600 square meters with sophisticated sound and lighting technology. 1,800 square meters of curtains and decorative textiles, thread curtains, nearly 120 spotlights, 220 meters of traverses and 16 loudspeakers were used.

AMAZONEN-WERKE, an engineering company for agricultural techniques, has invited to the press conference into their plant in Leipzig. The ArcoStage 140 classic from L & S, used here as an imposing guests’ platform with comfortable upholstery seating, was the turning point for introducing the company’s agricultural technology innovations.

Novelties one after the other that is how one could name the event concept. The partly very large-format machines drove right in front of the platform, accompanied by medial information that was shown on a 15 m² LED screen and on other large screens which were installed in the roof in different languages. Simultaneous interpreting technology with personnel receivers as well as the complete sound reinforcement of the demonstration area ensured complete intelligibility.

Conclusion: Successful presentation – satisfied customer!

In the summer of 2013, L&S, as general contractor for the trades of sound, light and stage, supervised a concert series with various classical orchestras, choirs and artists. There were twelve concert venues where a total of 16 concerts were played!

L&S presents another interactive touchscreen solution: the touch stele. For the first time it was used at the AGRITECHNICA Hannover and it was used at the stand of the Maschinenfabrik Bernard Krone. Krone informed, with the help of the touch stele, interactive about products, services and solutions. Therefore, a total of ten steles provided, directly next to the respective machines of the agricultural technology manufacturer, the guests with information.  Movies that showed the machinery while operating, data sheets, machine variants and all media in several languages with an introduction of the selected languages ensured easy and uncomplicated access to all information.

The steles were delivered ready for use by L&S – digital prints and also the installation and setting up of the media contents were done by L&S.

The touch stele is the smaller and space-saving version of our touch table, equipped with a 27” FullHD screen, a powerful computer and innovative MultiTouch software.

The Litecraft Studio PAR WT9 SWA (SmartWhite + Amber) is a LED white light spotlight of the latest design. The device is based on three types of LEDs in the colors warm white, cold white and amber and has a total output of 18 x 9 watts.

By combining the three light colors, you can mix a wide spectrum of white shades from daylight to artificial light. The control is conveniently via DMX 512, in addition, different whites can be adjusted directly at the spotlight itself.

The spotlight is perfect for illuminating trade fair stands, exhibition stands, smaller stages and wherever energy-saving, dimmable lighting is necessary.

In the past years, we have already provided the stage, and now we have equipped everything for the festival and we have served as a full-service partner for stage and event technology. About 10,000 visitors celebrated the Abifestival which lasted two days. A total of 23 bands were on the stage.

End of May, in Prora near Binz on Rügen, Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel inaugurated the newly created Naturerbe Zentrum Rügen [Natural Heritage Center Rügen]. The 13.5-million-euro project is located in the DBU-Naturerbe-Fläche[area]Prora which contains the three ecosystems forest, open land and wetlands – in a unique combination. Experience and understand nature – this is an information center with exciting exhibits. A barrier-free treetop trail leads up to a height of 40 meters along the beech forest. At the highest point with a height of 82 meters above sea level, you experience a magnificent view over the island of Rügen. The center opens for visitors on 15 June 2013. Within the framework of the opening ceremony, L&S was responsible for the design and construction of stage as well as the technical realization of the event. This included the equipment of the press conferences.

For the first time, L & S realized the lighting of the stage for the public television with exclusive use of energy-efficient LED spotlights. The new Litecraft WT9, a spotlight with 18x9W Tri-LEDs, was used. Each LED contains the three white light colors: warm white, cold white and amber, so that a controllable stepless adjustment of the color temperature of the spotlight between 2.975 ° Kelvin (artificial light) and 6,000 ° Kelvin (daylight) is possible. The camera leaders of the present television stations were highly satisfied, which is not a matter of course with a pure LED lighting. From now on, L&S is sure that the WT9 is the dimmable and controllable energy-efficient alternative to the CDM spotlights which have been proven a hundred times. Place of use will be the trade fair stands and stages.

At the Hanseraumkonferenz, in short, HAKO, 500 economic juniors met for annual networking in Osnabrück on the Ascension Weekend. The four-day event convinced with various seminars, lectures and workshops. The participants partied night by night and the highlight was the big “Hako-Ballnacht” took place in the Halle Gartlage. The location in Osnabrück is not necessarily known for its ambience, as there are normally livestock and flea markets taking place.

In the two-room hall – party and dinner – L & S provided great ambience thanks to an elaborate play of lights. It was wanted to emphasize the architecture of the hall with a lot of light and, according to the occasion, to let the hall look high-quality and elegant.

Therefore, L & S used a total of 24 Robe spotlights of the 700 series as well as 64 x Studio PAR AT3 LED spotlights and the new Outdoor Bar AT10.sx light strips.

However, the highlight were 160 pieces PAR 36 spotlights (Pinspots). Above every table in the dinner hall there were white balloons, filled with helium. Each of them illuminated with a PIN spot, so it looked as if it shone! In addition, L & S used Arkoas MediaMaster for the performance of the video screen in the background.

From now on, Litecraft Outdoor Bar AT10.sx are available. The LED stick is extremely flexible for both trade fairs as well as events.

Small exhibition stands, info points, video technology, ambience and a stage for a small evening program – only a few points on the To-Do list for a customer event.

November 2012 – For the second time, the L&S team had to change a logistics hall into an event location for the Christmas party. Around 20,000 m² have been converted into a special kind of location thanks to curtains, walls and room dividers.

As a full-service provider, L & S changed a car dealership in Emsdetten into an event location of a special kind.

We are now also owners of the Roland V- 800HD video and graphics mixing console and so our in-house video-directing technology is progressing. With the mixer, several cameras, computer and video signals can be conveniently mixed. Functions like picture-in-picture, cross-fade effects, superimposing of abdomen tapes, fonts and logos can be easily put into a live picture, as easily as a multi-preview of all inputs and outputs can be set on one screen. August 2012- A special event: The opening ceremony of the World Championship took place in the Schlossgarten of Surenburg before the four-in-hand World Championship started. This was celebrated with many honored guests. L&S supplied the ambient lighting as well as the sound reinforcement. Highlight of the event was a music-synchronous show from the elements fire, water, light effects and video images.

L&S was also responsible for the sound reinforcement and the video wall of the tournament area of the four-in-hand World Championship. The Riesenbecker specialists used a decentralized sound reinforcement concept. It was necessary to record a total of 15 zones with partly different signals. We used a 33 m² LED wall with 10 mm pixel pitch as a scoreboard.

For technicians: Dante network in practice.

One focus was the sounding of the stadium with 80 decent loudspeakers. The heart of the system was a Yamaha CL5 digital mixing console, which provided the routing of the signals to the individual zones. On the basis of the Dante-audio network, the signal was sent to the power amplifiers via network connections. This was also housed in five decentralized points around the stadium in weatherproof, actively ventilated housings. LAB.Gruppen PLM 10.000Q and PLM14.000 were used as amplifiers, which also directly process the Dante protocol.

The VIP, gastronomy and exhibition areas surrounding the stadium were also served by Dante network and PLM amplifiers. In some places, the Lake LM44 has also been used as  “Dante Breakout Boxes” to supply additional amplifiers or active loudspeakers with corresponding signals.

July 2012 – From 27 to 29 July, for the fourth time, the classical concert of the “musik: landschaft westfalen”, which lasted two days, took place in an idyllic atmosphere at the historic Wasserschloss in Raesfeld. Renowned artists such as the world-renowned conductor Christoph Eschenbach provided a special concert.
Again, L&S provided the ArcoStage 200 with white planning for this event. With an impressive height of 13 meters and a spacious scene area of 17×12 meters, the stage once again proved to be a perfect venue for large orchestras.

July 2012- For the eighth time the Stonerock Festival took place at an old outdoor swimming pool in the Emsland. The festival offers a combination of regional newcomer bands and well-known supra-regional bands. L & S provided the stage with the Quickstage 80.

We are already looking forward to 2014! Hopefully with public viewing in the Großen Straße in Ibbenbüren and with, hopefully and finally, a title.

The wall can be used indoors for trade fairs and events as well as outdoors e.g. for watching soccer. Thanks to the 10 mm pixel pitch and the SMD technology, a visual distance of eight to ten meters is sufficient. The special locking system ensures a fast and smooth set- up and dismantling.
At the same time, L&S invested in an LED tower, which guarantees an easy and fast assembly of the LED screen, and which is also suitable as a PA tower for “flying” assembly of loudspeakers.

L&S takes over the conference and event facilities for the apetito AG, one of the market-leading companies for ready-to- serve meals in Europe.

We were commissioned by our customer as a complete service provider for all technical and creative trades for a large-scale conference with a final event. The conference, workshop and final event took place in three different venues. We designed the design for the venues and stages. In the conference area, we created a classic presentation stage with scenery construction, partition walls, media technology as well as sound reinforcement and lighting.

In the workshop area, our builders assembled an over-dimensional test tube made of acrylic with a height of more than five meters. This was done for a teambuilding campaign.

For the final event of the day in Stadthalle Rheine, we designed an elaborate stage design with automatic white roller blinds as well as a lighting design in accordance with the customer’s corporate design. Our sound technicians ensured the realization of the demands of guests and artists, among others the live band “StreetLive”.

Germany, Austria, Switzerland – Hurricane, Southside, With Full Force, Amphi, Summer Breeze, Nova Rock and Greenfield: We have traveled a lot during the summer months. On the basis of our 8 by 6 meter large stage roofs, we have delivered numerous sales stands to the major music festivals in Europe.

Equipped with counters, shelves, storage rooms, lighting, music systems, monitors, dressing rooms and of course the T-shirts, we provided ready-for-use service for our customers. L & S was also responsible for the tasks of logistics of the goods, customs clearance for Switzerland and the necessary approval procedures with the building authorities.

For several years, L&S has been supervising the horse and driving sport tournaments of the Zucht-, Reit- und Fahrvereins Riesenbeck [breeding, riding and driving association Riesenbeck] on the grounds of the Surenburg in Riesenbeck.

The main task is the sound reinforcement of a 10,000 square meter large site with the stadium, the parking space and the exterior obstacles. The cabling of the extensive area requires a special planning effort.

During the most recent event, L&S directed decentralized sound reinforcement by using many small speakers from three stage directions. If necessary, these could also function as a large sound system. By the way, more than 150 loudspeakers were used.

L&S also provided stands and platforms for the sports event. A grandstand was built on the platform with the use of our 8x 6-meter stage bridge.

As in the previous year, we also installed an LED video wall mounted on the area of the Surenburg. Visitors and participants were able to read the competition times of riders and harnessed horse teams as well as their names and nationalities. Sponsors were able to use the LED wall for advertising their promotional videos.

Emil Bulls, die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Blumentopf, Supershirt and many other bands were guests on the 7th Rüt`n`Rock-Open Air in Haren an der Ems. And so they were all on our stage.

L&S supplied a 80 square meter Quickstage80 with two side stages with 24 square meters each, ramps, stairs and sidewings for the two-day festival. A total of 128 square meters of covered space was available as a stage and work area.

The annual Trosse Kult Open Air in Mesum is a real home match for L&S: The L&S crew has to drive less than twelve kilometers! This year, eight bands performed not far from the L & S home town. Among others PeterPanSpeedrock, The Inspector Cluzo and The Toasters. They played punk and rock music and gave people the opportunity to party in front of the stage.

With the EasyStage 50XL, L & S delivered an 8 x 6 meter large stage with a height of 7 meters and by the way that is really high. For the first time, we used the EAW Line Array JFL 260 – and our experiences were very well. We also provided the necessary lighting technology.

Scooter, Extrabreit and six other bands played at the 1st Rheine-Live-Festival
The OBI arena of the sports club Eintracht Rheine turned into a festival arena the end of July 2011. As headliner of the open air, Scooter with Frontmann H.P. Baxxter performed an impressive (pyro) show. Previously, Extrabreit, BC Sweet, The Love Bülow and other four bands from Rheine were part of the festival.

L & S supplied the 140-square-meter ArcoStage-140 round arch stage with extensive additions as well as the complete lighting technology including 48 moving lights, two VSO 10 LED walls and the complete monitoring with separate monitoring mixing console, monitor speakers, Drumfills and Sidefills.

Our client was responsible for the front sound and supplied a Line Array System from the German manufacturer Seeburg typ Galeo XT in combination with Galeo XT Sub bass loudspeakers. Our business partner from Rheine was the general contractor for the event and entrusted us with the realization of the stage, light and monitor technology.

Our technical crew, headed by Andreas Werthmöller, Master craftsmen of event engineering , ensured the smooth running of the set-up and dismantling as well as safe operation of the stage and the technology during the event.

Already for the second time, the organization team from Krach am Bach trusted L & S as a professional service provider for stage, lighting and sound engineering. 22 bands and musicians performed during 22 days.

L & S delivered both stages and the entire event technology to Beelen which is close to Warendorf.

For the first time we used our new EAW Line Array KF 740 with SB2001 bass boxes for an event that was predominantly characterized by rock, punk and metal. With success:  We were not the only ones who liked the very good, powerful sound, many band technicians were impressed, too.

The two-day event was supervised by our technicians.

L&S bought something mere window-dressing – new stretch-deco panels/ sails. We have invested in four large triangular panels/ sails (3.50 x 7 x 6 meters). In total, we now own more than 30 decoration elements made of stretch, including triangle panels/sails, rectangular panels/sails and tunnel covers.

Especially when combining stretch panels/sails with color-changing LED lighting, a great atmosphere can be created and these panels/ sails are very suitable for the design of venues, stages and entrance areas.

At the beginning of July 2011, the annual Abi-Festival in Lingen / Ems took place. The Umsonst & Outdoor Open Air celebrated its 30th anniversary – and about 12,000 festival enthusiastic visitors celebrated this. More than 20 rock bands were playing during those two days. Highlights were certainly the gigs of Casper, Bakkushan and Beat! Beat! Beat!

L & S provided an 80-square-meter stage with large additions. A total of 130 square meters of play and work space were available.

June 2011- On 17 June this year the “Opernnacht am Meer 2011” took place in Bremerhaven. Around 1,600 guests experienced the most beautiful arias from operas by Verdi and Puccini in a maritime atmosphere. The ships around and the Simon-Losche lighthouse on the west side of the new harbor provided a pleasant background and a special atmosphere of the open-air concert. Soloist ensembles and various choirs cared for the Mediterranean opera literary.

L&S provided a 140 square meter, filigree stage for this special event.

The ArcoStage 140 impresses with white foils and its round arch optics and is perfectly suitable for classical concerts and operas.

Furthermore, we provided a LED wall so that even the guests in the rear rows had an excellent view of the artists.

The conclusion of the Opernnacht: a completely successful event with a good background!

L&S relies on a consistent further development of the range of products available for larger open-air concerts as well as cultural events. From now on, L&S does also own a new item, which they presented at the Prolight & Sound show in Frankfurt- the EAW line-array KF740 loudspeaker system. The L&S team celebrated the extensive investment, the loudspeakers of the brand EAW, together with Rocha and Kenton Forsythe from EAW and Kai Böckmann from Trius.

As the first company in Germany, L&S owns 16 loudspeaker elements called KF740 and eight SB2001 bass speakers The company also used the trade fair to order new amplifiers from Trius. L&S decided to order ten amplifiers of the type PLM 10.000Q and PLM 14.000 from the renowned Swedish manufacturer Lap.gruppen. To round off the package, L&S also ordered eight professional monitor speakers of the type MW15.

Together with the stages and the recently expanded range of moving lights, L&S is now able to realize events with up to 15,000 guests at the highest technical level with its own material. Thanks to good contacts to other professional EAW users, L&S can also easily solve larger sound reinforcement tasks.

L&S has been relying on EAW loudspeaker systems for years. Already in 2005 the first loudspeakers of this brand were purchased. In the meantime, more than 75 loudspeakers from the US manufacturer can be found in the company`s portfolio. L&S owns very small

 and discreet models as well as the new flagship KF740.

Technical details:

The KF740 Line Array has been developed as an independent system for all types of live and installation applications. Also as an addition to the larger KF760 and the smaller KF730 system.

The symmetrical design, the large horn flare and the side-mounted mid-range speakers offer a highly precise radiation in the range of 90 ° x12 °. The KF740 is characterized by a high sound pressure with a compact size and low weight. With an adapter frame it can be used with the KF760 as well as with the KF730.

The KF740 works like all speakers of the KF series as a real 3-way system. Two 1.5 “compression high-frequency drivers and two 8” mid-range drivers work together on a horn flare, two 10 “drivers radiate forward, two 10” drivers are arranged laterally and extend the low-mid-range down to 50Hz.

Subwoofers with 2 x 21 “neodymounting are used for the necessary pressure in the bass section. „20 Jahre Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt“ [“20 Years of the German Federal Foundation for the Environment”]: May 24, 2011, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the world’s largest environmental foundation celebrated at the dbb Forum in Berlin.

Approximately 7,800 innovative and environmentally friendly pilot projects have been supported by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) in the past 20 years with a funding sum of almost 1.4 billion euros. DBU is one of the patrons behind the concrete implementation of forward-looking environmental policy.

The DBU used the anniversary as an occasion for a ceremony. Around 400 invited guests from the worlds of politics, business, science and environmental associations looked back on the achievements and dared to look forward to future developments.

As a full service provider, L & S was responsible for stage and scenery construction, sound reinforcement, lighting and video technology. A camera transmission of the event including directing via LiveStream is available on the website www.dbu.de

The Ibbenbueren Sportgala is one of the sporting cultural highlights of the event calendar. We have been providing this event, which offers its guests a colorful and varied mix of show program, sports and dance for ten years. This year, the community event of the two sports clubs DJK Arminia Ibbenbüren and ISV was moderated by the Formula 1 sportsmoderator Heiko Wasser. L&S was responsible for the event technology concerning lighting and stage design as well as media technology.

Krach am Bach 2010 – end of July, 4,000 people who were enthusiastic about music came to Beelen near Warendorf. There, the festival “Krach am Bach” took place for the 17th time.
It was launched in 1994 and today, after 17 years, can look back on a successful time. Since then about 150 bands have played on the festival grounds. The proceeds of the open air are donated to non-profit organizations and projects and now amount to over 200,000 euros.
20 bands and musicians showed their skills on two stages, which was mainly influenced by alternative, indie rock and hardcore.

L&S delivered both stages and the entire event technology to Beelen. Our 10x 8-meter Quick Stage 80 80 with PA-wings was used as the main stage. The imposing appearance of the stage did not only impress the organizer but also many guests and musicians. The Line-Array sound system Spektrix by the Canadian manufacturer Adamson provided a very good sound. Our lighting technicians used 10 Moving Lights Robe ColorWash 700 as the main component of the Lightshow. PAR 64 and, of course, Audience Blinder – which can not be missed at any open air festival – were also used.

A 30-square-meter Truss stage from our EasyStage series was used as an additional stage. Components from our EAW collections were assembled for the sound reinforcement. The light equipment consisted of PAR 64, Blinder and Moving Lights from HighEndSystem.
The two day event was completely supervised by our technicians.

Seven games of the German national team could have been admired at the large public viewing in the Großen Straße in Ibbenbüren – on our new LED video wall. Unfortunately, not the final game. As generally known, Germany lost the semifinals and then won the third place.

In addition to the games with German participation, all other games were shown on the 5.20 x 2.88 meter LED wall. The pixel spacing of 10 mm offered a very good picture quality and certainly had a share in the good mood and the great atmosphere during the public viewing in Ibbenbueren.

One is thinking loudly about a repetition at the European Championship in two years…

June 2010 – ArcoStage 200 is currently hosting a four-week open-air theater festival. Tragedies, dramas, an opera and a festival concert –everything under one roof thanks to our new stage flagship. The 204 square meter stage shows its strengths: white foils, a filigree design for this stage size, and as a special solution, at the request of the stage designer, a headroom of only six meters in contrast to the normal height of about ten meters. In this case, however, the stage is not used as an actual playing area, but as a weather protection and podium for the orchestra.

We have also convinced our customers due to the fact that all ballast is directly integrated into the stage floor and thus lets the stage appear as a clean place and therefore, it looks great. Conclusion after four weeks festival time: Thanks to flexible stage concepts, we won a highly satisfied customer!

A stage with many possibilities and options that can be adapted to the requirements of the theater, classical and opera scene.

June 3 to 6, 2010, over 80,000 rock and music fans celebrated the 25th edition of “Rock am Ring” in the Eifel. A large mail order company commissioned L & S to implement a sales stand for the vendor area. We worked closely with our customer to develop a concept for this sales stand. In the end, one decided on an idea that resembled a large open-air stage.

Our eight-by-six-meter sundeck is the roofing for the products and has been extended with Sidewings to a total width of 14 meters. With an extraordinary height of 7.6 meters, the stand was definitely a special one and not just an eye catcher, but a popular meeting point for many festival visitors because of the widely good visibility.

In May 2010, this year’s final competition concerning “Jugend forscht” took place in Essen and Bochum. L & S has had the chance, for the second time, to provide the technical equipment of several events. In addition to the official award ceremony on Sunday, about 50 projects were honored with special prizes. This special award ceremony took place on 16 May in the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum. The special architecture of the old industrial hall was supported by an effective lighting and gave the hall a stylish ambience. A main component of the stage were three screens of 12 square meters, each for live pictures and various short films for the award ceremony. The sound of the event hall was also our responsibility. For the first time we also used our new Robe Washlights of the 700 class at a gala event.

At the end of May, in Gelsenkirchen, the opening of the adventure bike route “Deutsche Fußball Route NRW” took place, during this presentation, all possibilities concerning football/ soccer were discussed. After an invitation to tender, L & S received an order for the delivery of the event technology and a stage for the family and sports festival.

The focal point of the events was our 10 by 8 meter stage QuickStage 80. Among others, the opening program, musical show acts, cycling acrobatics and other entertainment programs took place here.

On stage, our new LED wall was used. The video wall, which was actually ordered for the World Cup, was already able to celebrate its first use.

Furthermore, we delivered lighting technology for the actors on the stage and a decentralized sound system for the spectators in front of the stage and in the whole stadium.

L&S supplied and installed sound and light as well as video technology and traverses.

A hall for meetings, events, exhibitions and product training was built by an agrarian engineering company from the Münsterland region. In terms of technical equipment, L&S has provided the services and know-how an  installed an extensive technical system for lighting, sound reinforcement and video presentation in the more than 1,200 square meter large  hall with exhibition areas, counter areas, meeting rooms and office space. L&S also equipped meeting and conference rooms with video projectors, flat screen monitors and computers.

October 2009. Blues, Swing and Rock’n’Roll accompanied the guests at this year’s “BlueNight @ Gempt” event in Lengerich. The main attraction of the evening were the guests Little Willie Littlefield and Memo Gonzalez & The Bluescasters. Little Willie Littlefield is a famous American boogie-woogie pianist and began his career at the age of 16.

Our team installed a blue lighting of the hall with floor spots and Kolorado color changers. The foyer of the hall was designed with Easy Stretch panels/sails and a jumping jet fountain as an eye catcher. Besides the lighting technology, we also provided the sound.

The “BlueNight @ Gempt” was also the final project of our trainee Manuel Johannknecht, who finished his final examination, half a year late,  in December this year.

Münster 2009. 13, September, the Volksbank Münster marathon took place for the 8th time. More than 80,000 spectators cheered the 7,000 runners on the 42 kilometer long way up. L&S delivered nine stages for this large sporting event. The stages were built along the way The new Quick Stage 80 was also used at Prinzipalmarkt. In addition to the stages, we also supplied sound reinforcement equipment and video technology. At the finish we installed a LED and video screen.

October 2009. Enthusiastic guests, a great fashion show and the final Samba rhythms: this was the VIP shopping 2009. For the second time, we were providing event technology for our regular client in Osnabrück. In addition to ROBE 575 Washlights and Kolorado color changing spotlights, which illuminated the catwalk and the courtyard, we also provided a video screen with beamer. The picture and video data were controlled and played with the Arkaos media server software. Our customer ordered golden glitter rain, which we realized with the help of universal effects glitterers.

The cult festival for the fans of handmade music: Trosse KULT rocked this year at and in front of the new L & S QuickStage 80. With a high-profile lineup, among others “Kapelle Petra”, the “Gods of Blitz” and as the headliner the “Kilians”, the festival celebrated a new visitor record this year. The brand new 80 square meter stage with side additions provided the necessary space for a relaxed program sequence without unnecessarily large rebuilding times. Beautiful weather, varied program and Michael Wendler as a star guest inspired the audience at the wine and brew festival in Rheine, also thanks to a perfect technical support by our team. At the same time, our new stage, QuickStage80, had its first night at this event and it became clear that the QuickStage80 is the prefect stage for larger city festivals. Impressive appearance, plenty of room for artists and technology and a very good price-performance ratio.

Well-known artists and musicians of the classical scene, seven different locations, partly open air, partly indoor and a total of 17 event days with over 40 acts were successfully supervised by our team. The venues were well chosen and have an attraction even without a classic event. Venues such as the moated castle in Raesfeld, the airport in Paderborn, the Surenburg in Riesenbeck and the cathedral of Muenster. The opening concert also took place in the cathedral of Muenster. Krzysztof Penderecki conducted his composition „Die Sieben Tore von Jerusalem“. L & S built a platform for 200 musicians and singers with a total of six floors and provided lighting for the orchestra and the choirs.

Highlight of the event series was, we suppose, the open air concert of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra London, directed by Carl Davis in Raesfeld.

For the four-day event with further concerts, we did not only provide the technical superstructure and facilities, but also tents for artist’s cloakrooms and the backstage area as well as 3,000 chairs. Our new ArcoStage 140 “Classic Edition” was used as stage. The Adamson Line-Array of the Spectrix series and microphones from AKG and Neumann provided an excellent sound. This was as well, the opinion of the organizer. Apart from 50 theater lights, our moving lights from HighEndSystems and Kolorado outdoor spotlights were also used.

May 2009. The 44th decision of the “Jugend forscht” competition, which was organized by the Stiftung Jugend forscht e.V. and the Deutschen Bundesstiftung [German Federal Foundation (DBU)], took place in the Stadthalle Osnabrück. Federal Minister of Education, Anette Schavan, honored the best young scientist in various disciplines. For this purpose, the company L & S provided lighting, sound reinforcement and video technology. The stage was designed with various light effects. The junior scientists were honored in seven different disciplines. In addition to the honors, spectators had the chance to watch a spectacular program.

We delivered not only the event technology for the honor, but also 107 small exhibition stands for the exhibition of the projects of the junior scientists.

January 2009. The renovation of the 200-year-old Riesenbeck church offered the occasion for a concert of a special kind. In an unusual atmosphere at the workplace, 300 guests experienced an unforgettable evening. Our task was to stage the performances of five musicians. Thanks to the installed LED spotlights and theater lights, spectators were offered a spectacular lightshow, matching classical music. The video-beamer, which was brought in the sanctuary, presented pictures of the construction period.

The lighting fixtures installed in the sanctuary and in the nave were used to create different lighting moods. In particular, the lighting of the pillars in the nave of the church caused an interesting play of colors and shadows. The following technology was used: LED color changing spotlights, Kolorado changing of colors, theater lights, control by Grand MA Light and a video-beamer.

January 2009. On the occasion of the honor of the best athlete and the best sportswoman of the year the university sports show took place for the 30th time in Münster. Well over 1000 spectators watched and fascinated the performances and the spectacular program of different dance groups and artists.

October 2008. A city marketing company ordered the technical realization of a Götz-Alsmann-concert. In addition to 1,000-watt and 2,000-watt theater lights and PAR64 spotlights, the focus was on high-quality sound transmission. As a PA system several types of our EAW loudspeakers were used. The extensive monitor system consisted of wedges from the company GAE. The separate monitor mix was created by our Allen & Heath GL 3300 console, and our MH3 console at the FoH-Platz ensured a very good quality of sound transmission, which impressed the entire audience.

November 2008. For the fifth time, we were asked to realize the technical implementation of the Sportgala in the Kreissporthalle Ibbenbüren. In addition to the elaborate sound and lighting technology as well as a 4-by-3-meter video screen, we used textile ceiling panels/sails for the first time. In total, five white cloths decorated the ceiling across the hall and those were illuminated with LED color changing headlights. The indirectly illuminated panels/sails above the auditorium created a very stylish ambience.

September 2008. Shopping with a special experience awaited the visitors of the VIP shopping of a large Osnabrück fashion house. L&  has been asked to install the technical implementation of the event, again.In addition to the lighting and sound equipment of the fashion show and the artists, we also supplied a mobile fountain system.

September 2008. For a staff party gathering more than 650 guests in the jungle palace of the Hannover Zoo, we were asked to provide the lighting of several event rooms and animal compounds. In addition to conventional headlights, we also used weather-proof color changers of the Colorado type with 1.800W HMI bulbs. As a design element we also installed traverse columns with textile covers.

August 2008. A Mercedes-Benz car dealer in Rheine had invited 250 truck customers to the presentation of the new Actrostwoing vehicle. The technical framework for this event was provided by L&S. In addition to sound and lighting technology, we also used our 10.000 ANSI Lumen Beamer from Sanyo.

July 2008. On the occasion of the completion of the widening of the Dortmund-Ems-Kanal, the festival of the “Kanal”[channel] took place in Riesenbeck.It lasted two days. Several 1,000 guests attended the event in the newly designed water park. L & S installed a very elaborate lighting on a channel bridge and equipped the event with sound and lighting technology, as well as L&S provided a stage and a 6.5 x 4-meter video screen. The stage was located on a float pole.

June 2008. Justus Frantz and his philharmonic orchestra of the Nations gave a guest performance in a stone quarry in Ibbenbüren. Around 4,500 guests had the chance to experience the event live. The event took place on two nights.

As a full-service partner, L & S was entrusted with the complete technical execution of the event. The central element was a 14-by-12-meter-large and 10-meter-high stage, on which the sound and lighting were installed.

The acoustic irradiation of the event happend due to a line array system by the renowned American manufacturer EAW. A total of 18 KF-730 loudspeakers were used, the high / midrange speakers were supported by 12 x LA-400 bass loudspeakers.

The acceptance of the sometimes more than 120 musicians and singers took place with a special microphone system for orchestras.

June 2008. For the open air theater festival “Parkleuchten” in the Kreis Steinfurt, we illuminated an extensive park.

June 2008 – L&S delivered a stage roof, bars, lighting technology and sound reinforcement for a merchandise stand at the largest German open-air festival at the Nürburgring.

May 2008. We changed a pavilion into a gala-location on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of a catering company.

May 2008 – We supplied sound, light and video technology for a lecture event of a bank.

May 2008. L & S was ask to care for the technical equipment of several venues at the 97th German Catholics Day in Osnabrueck. Fthe event took lasted three days and we cared, among others for four smaller stages, the reception of the bishop and a sports hall, a school assembly hall and a tent with sound, light and video technology.

April 2008. For a performance of Cindy from Marzahn, we provided sound and lighting technology.

February 2008 – For a company event, we delivered technology and know-how to the Weser-Ems-Hallen in Oldenburg.
